art and wood carvings with the feel of early America.
Using bass wood, birch plywood, and reclaimed wood from cigar boxes, fruit crates, and shipping pallets, Strawser works to preserve the uniqueness of this type of artwork that was often made by itinerant immigrants in the early days of this country. Each piece is hand carved resulting in a one-of-a-kind form prior to receiving Strawser's signature finish of layered and antiqued earth-tone pigments. |
